AC Fr 1225h 1900 $10,000 Gold Certificate PCGS 63/c TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS $10000

Believe it or not, we used to have currency that was able to be converted to gold. This is a TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR GOLD CERTIFICATE. It has been perforated punch cancelled by the US government.

Technically, this has the status of a cancelled check. The story was that there was a fire at a warehouse used by the Treasury. They just threw boxes of these notes out the window so they would not burn up! This is a Freidberg 1225h. This note has been graded by PCGS as Choice Uncirculated 63 with a comment about minor discoloration.

This note is punch cancelled (like the vast majority of them). This is a really neat note. You don't have to take my word for the grade of the note, you just have to trust PCGS. It is my mission to assist collectors of large and small size type complete their collecting goals.
