In 1933, by presidential executive order 6102 (forbidding the hoarding of gold), this note became illegal to own for the next 31 years. There was a special clause in the executive order allowing the ownership of gold coin for numismatic reasons, but this did not extend to currency. Great for a type collector as this is an excellent and super-clean type representation with nice margins and good color. This is the last emission for this series.
